Each MLB season, there are a few players that come out of nowhere and surprise the league.

When young players get their first opportunity in the majors, sometimes the moment is too big for them to start their careers.

But, the more experience you get in the big leagues the more you will adapt.

Many young stars finished off the 2023 season in style.

So much so, they are potential breakout candidates for the 2024 season.

According to MLB, there is a long list of emerging players for next season.

One name that stands out on the list is Texas Rangers superstar Evan Carter.

Carter made himself known during his incredible playoff run last year.

He was a significant reason for the Rangers’ playoff success and their World Series championship.

Carter batted .300 in 17 playoff games, including 18 hits and nine doubles over that span.

He did that while being 20 years old and only having 23 regular-season games under his belt.

If the Rangers want to repeat as World Series champs, Carter will have to play a major role in their success.

Another name on that list that had a great season was Royce Lewis.

He was a former first-overall pick who has suffered unfortunate injuries throughout his career.

But, Lewis was great over the second half of last year.

He batted .309 with 15 home runs and 52 RBI.

That was across 58 regular-season games, where he also posted an OPS of .921.

MLB fans are lucky to have so many great young players in the league.

It will be fun to see these guys develop into household names next season.
