The New York Yankees came off of their World Series loss to the Los Angeles Dodgers only to also lose Juan Soto when he signed with the New York Mets.

The Yankees responded by making some key acquisitions, including starting pitcher Max Fried, relief pitcher Devin Williams, outfielder Cody Bellinger and first baseman Paul Goldschmidt.

Goldschmidt is the most recent acquisition as he comes over from the St. Louis Cardinals, and he revealed his thoughts on getting to play with Aaron Judge.

“He’s one of the best hitters in the world, maybe the best hitter as a right-handed power hitter, a guy that I’m very, very excited to play with and see him work every day,” Goldschmidt said, via YES Network.

When it comes to Goldschmidt and Judge, talent recognizes talent.

Goldschmidt is a 14-year MLB veteran who is a seven-time All-Star and a former NL MVP.

He revealed how excited he is to play with one of the best hitters in all of baseball, and it will be something to watch when both of these players are in the same lineup.

In 2024 with the Cardinals, Goldschmidt played 154 games and batted .245 with 22 home runs, 65 RBIs and a .716 OPS.

The Yankees have somewhat made up for the loss of Soto with their multiple acquisitions, and their offense has the potential to be even better than it was last season.
