Rickey Henderson was an incredibly talented player but an even better human.
I’ll never forget all the incredible memories we created together. Memories I’ll never forget.

Henderson came into the league in 1979 with the Oakland Athletics and he played a total of 25 seasons in the MLB.
The last season of Henderson’s career came with the Los Angeles Dodgers in 2003, and his career stats are nothing short of impressive.
Henderson’s career stats include 3081 games played with 3055 hits, 297 home runs, 1,115 RBIs, 1406 stolen bases, and a .820 OPS.
Over his career, Henderson played for nine different teams including the Athletics, Dodgers, New York Yankees, San Diego Padres, New York Mets, Boston Red Sox, Los Angeles Angels, Seattle Mariners, and Toronto Blue Jays.
Conseco made some heartfelt remarks regarding the loss of his friend and teammate.
He noted that not only was Henderson an incredible baseball player, but he was also an incredible person.
Although Henderson was only 65 years old, he reportedly lost a battle with pneumonia.
The baseball world will mourn the loss of one of the all-time greats, and many people likely feel the same way that Conseco feels about him.
