Insider Reveals What He’s Hearing About Alex Bregman In Free Agency
The Major League Baseball offseason has been filled with excitement thus far as multiple big-name players have changed teams whether that being from free agency or via trade.
Some of the players that switched teams include Juan Soto to the New York Mets, Corbin Burnes to the Arizona Diamondbacks, and Blake Snell to the Los Angeles Dodgers.
While many players already have a team for 2025, there are still a few big-time players who remain on the free-agent market.
One of those players is Houston Astros third baseman Alex Bregman, and MLB Insider Ken Rosenthal revealed the latest about what he’s hearing about Bregman’s free agency.
“Bregman is not looking at a short-term deal right now,” Rosenthal said via Foul Territory on ‘X.’

Bregman is 30 years old and came into the league in 2016 with the Astros, where he has played all nine seasons of his MLB career.
In 2024, Bregman played in 145 games where he batted .260 with 26 home runs, 75 RBIs, and a .768 OPS.
Bregman, Pete Alonso, and Roki Sasaki headline the free agents that are still available, and it will be interesting to see if Bregman gets the long-term deal that he is looking for.
The Astros did offer Bregman a deal previously, but Bregman turned down the deal and is currently unsigned for the 2025 season.
MLB free agency will keep the attention of many MLB fans while these big-name players remain unsigned.
